Congratulations to all of the amazing readers we have in our school! We had over 120 students reach their AR goals for the first nine weeks. To celebrate, we ate pizza and other goodies, played several games including Mario Kart and Dance Dance Revolution. We had a fantastic time and hope that next time, even more students can come join us.
I am so proud of everyone who reached their goals! Keep it up!
The 2014-2015 Georgia Peach Book Award Nominees have been announced!
Looking for a great new book? Try these! The Georgia Peach Book Award works to promote reading and literacy skills in teens. Each year, a committee of school and public librarians reads widely to choose a list of twenty nominated titles. Young adults then choose books from among that list to read and rate. The books that earn the highest number of readers and ratings become the Peach Book and Honor Books. You can help choose this year’s winner by reading one or more of the nominated books and casting your vote between now and March 2015 at http://www.georgiapeachaward.org/.
