Now that I am officially back at school, I can definitely understand what everyone says about media specialists wearing many different hats!  This has been such a fantastic week so far: I'm learning how to do what may seem such simple tasks, like cataloging and ordering books while also trying to help teachers with their technology inquiries, arranging this library to be more suitable for adolescents, organizing, weeding, etc. WOW! I feel so blessed that I am finally able to start my journey as a teacher librarian, sharing my love of books, technology, and most importantly, I can now build relationships with students throughout the whole school. The teachers officially return back on Friday and I will hopefully convey I know what I'm talking about :)

We are making progress this summer to make the media center more user friendly.  Cross your fingers that we'll be done for open house!
